Anuga Cologne 2007
13-17 October 2007
Coined as the world’s biggest and most important trade fair for food and beverages, the 29th Anuga Cologne trade fair brought all of Germany’s key industry decision makers to the same place once again.
Exhibitors and visitors from almost every country in the world met in Cologne to conduct cross-border business and make international contacts. This year, 6,607 exhibitors from 95 countries showcased their products and services.

Open only to trade visitors, all the latest sector trends are being displayed at an exhibition space of 304,000 square metres. The fair saw a total of 163,000 trade visitors from approximately 175 countries who took advantage of the opportunity to obtain extensive information on the products being showcased. With 83 per cent of the exhibitors coming from abroad, it added a further international flavour to the fair.
This year's Anuga marked the first time the event's “10 specialised trade fairs under one roof“ concept was put into practice at the new exhibition centre. The clear spatial division between the ten specialised fairs made it easy for visitors to get around and find what they were looking for.
Meetings with high level decision makers were held over the five days and key food industry issues were also presented and discussed.

Anuga Organic, which was held for the first time as an independent trade fair, was a major success. One special show, “Fully Organic“ , provided information to retailers on how to effectively present a complete range of organic products to customers.
Along with organic products, the main Anuga trend themes included Health & Functional Food, Wellness Products and Convenience Products. Retailers and catering sector representatives alike were able to obtain a comprehensive overview of all the key trends, while numerous events in the supporting programme presented the latest studies of the current market situation and provided information on the market areas displaying growth potential. Such events included the Wellness and Health & Functional Food Congress and the Chilled Food Congress.
The special shows at Anuga also provided momentum for the food sector; including the Trade Innovation Show, the Anuga Wine Special 2007, the Anuga Dairy Forum and TASTE_07, which focused on new products presented at Anuga. |

The success of the trade fair has affirmed Anuga as the international hub of food and beverage.
Not missing out on this opportunity, BuySingaporeTM trotted across the globe to garner trade leads from this booming industry. Over five days, international trade leads from the F&B sector poured in, promoting and matching Singapore companies to these overseas F&B enterprises.
